The RV International Language Institute is a specialized online German language school based in Point Pedro, Sri Lanka. Founded and led by Ms. Rasika Rasiyasingam — an ÖSD and telc examiner — the institute delivers structured, exam-focused German language education from A1 to C2 to learners across South Asia and worldwide.
📘 To make learning easier, we will provide our own A1 notes in German and Tamil. These materials are specifically designed to support Tamil-speaking beginners during their first steps in learning German, with clear explanations.

Rasika Rasiyasingam is an ÖSD and TELC Examiner and experienced German language instructor (A1–C2) with more than three years of professional teaching experience. Born and raised in Switzerland, she is now based in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, where she runs the RV International Language Institute — a dedicated online school offering structured, exam-focused German language courses.
Students will be prepared for major international German examinations including ÖSD, Goethe, telc, fide, and DTZ. Teaching combines linguistic accuracy, strong communication training, and modern digital methods to ensure lasting success.
In addition to managing the institute, Ms. Rasika collaborates with language schools in Germany and Switzerland, teaching online German courses and supporting exam preparation programmes. No prior knowledge is needed. The A1 German course is designed for complete beginners. We start with basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple grammar — step by step.
No, it is not possible to join A2 or B1 without completing A1.
A1 is the foundation of the German language. It covers essential grammar, basic vocabulary, sentence structure, and simple communication skills. Without this level, students cannot successfully follow A2 or B1 lessons.
We require all students to complete A1 first to ensure strong fundamentals and long-term success in their German language journey.
We keep our German language groups small to ensure individual attention. This allows every student to actively participate, especially in speaking practice.
No, class recordings are not provided. All German language lessons are conducted live and interactive to ensure active participation and maximum learning effectiveness.
All three — Goethe-Institut, ÖSD, and telc — are internationally recognised German language certificates. The right choice depends on your visa requirements, destination country, and the specific institution or embassy requirements. We guide every student individually to choose the best exam for their goals.
